Hey. I woke up feeling sooo tired, but now i feel fresh. and i just wanted to post some testimonies that pastor shared during the sermon of 'right place right time'. i think Darren only posted one so i thought maybe i could share some more. lols. These testimonies are related to some of the major disasters, the tsunami and the 9/11 thingy, and i felt that it was really no coincidence.
This grp of friends were at a beach in a certain part of Penang. They had actually planned to stay on for another hr or so but one guy suddenly had a craving for a certain food (comfirmed a S'porean) which is at the other end of the town. So he, probably the 'leader' of the grp, along with his friends went off. Just fyi, these guys were from our church:) Then aft abt an hour the titanic wave striked, and they would still be at the beach if not for that craving!! Thank God he doesn't only use that 'still small voice' to lead us, but also natural instincts like hunger. God made that guy crave for food at the right time.
There's this guy who's working in the World Trade Center. One day he got held up by something and he was really really late for work. That guy was really feeling exasperated, cos he didn't know back then what a tragedy he would have been if he wasn't late. Wow la. He was late for work at the right time. This testimony was from that guy's dad, who's a christian and was praying for his son everyday. His son wasn't a christian then, and still not sure if he is now. God had put him in that situation cos He loved him.
What worked in these 2 testimonies is
qara and they escaped death. i'll explain what qara is below.
In accordance to Ecclesiastes 9:11 "I returned and saw under the sun that - The race is not to the swift, Nor the battle to the strong, Nor bread to the wise, Nor riches to men of understanding, Nor favor to men of skill; But time and chance happen to them all."
'chance happpen' in this verse is
qara in hebrew. Qara means 'a God incidence'. This goes to show that u can't get success just by doing things as quickly as possible, nor can u win with only strength, and so on so forth. You also need time, and qara.
Genesis 24:12 "Then he said, "O Lord God of my master Abraham, please give me
success this day, and show kindness to my master Abraham." This 'success' you saw in this verse is also
qara. Which shows that you can pray to God for qara. In other words, ask God to put you in the right place at the right time.
Yeah:) know that God will put you in the right place at the right time. For of-the-age singles, God will put you in the right place at the right time with the one that God has appointed for you to be your life partner. As shown in Genesis 24:14-15, Abraham's servant found a wife for Isaac after he asked God for qara.
As Darren posted, God putting you in the right place in the right time isn't only limited to just saving you from death, or getting ur life partner, but it can also be in ur career and other parts of ur life.
